Globally, the demand for economic resiliency and sustainability has certainly not been greater than it is now. Employability programs become very useful in equipping youth and women who are most impacted by poverty and inequality. With practical skills and networks, they can find decent jobs or build their own businesses and break the intergenerational cycle of poverty.
Core of Humanity is committed to ensuring economically secure households that provide a more stable foundation for children and youths to stay healthy, be protected, and thrive. Our programs offer market-driven employability skills, entrepreneurship, vocational training, on-the-job training, career counseling, mentorship, job linkages, financial literacy and good savings practices, and business startup services to youth and women.
We support poverty alleviation programs by working with women groups especially struggling single mothers in difficult areas of Kenya. We give small grants to reinforce their businesses and give training programs to increase their employability. Our vision is to “improve the standard of living of vulnerable people by recognizing them as resources and not as victims. We strive to ensure their transformation is sustainable and long-lasting, with the aim of achieving the vision of a world free of poverty.
